Back to Blogging

Well I’m back in the US of A.  I had an amazing time over in England and despite spending July 4th over there I am still loyal to the US, and quite glad that we formed our own nation (so we could invent things like cold beer).

What’s funny is that very few Brits I spoke to understood what July 4th was all about (one of them thought it was the day we killed a bunch of Indians).  The picture below (at the Henley Regatta) was our one sighting of the American flag (besides the 2nd picture, which is my wife wearing a sweet USA napkin thing turned headband).

Anyhow, there’s much to talk about including the opportunity to meet a fellow beer blogger in person and about the beers I had the pleasure of tasting.  All  in all a great time.

One more thing, I had the opportunity tonight to go to a screening of Call and Response, a new movie coming out in September about slave trade.  Was incredibly moving and had some great music (including some improv from Matisyahu the reggae rabbi who jonathan likes).  Check it out when you have a moment and watch for it in September.
