Night of the living homebrewers
The stars aligned last night. We had a good group of folks show up – all of them were homebrewers. It felt like a special Beer-Dorks-Only-Club. And unbeknownst to me, we actually had our WORLD FAMOUS Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale on tap. Thanks for the heads up, Jeff. Also, it’s not quite “world-famous” yet, just so we don’t get slapped with a lawsuit from one of you unscrupulous readers.
This version of the Drafty, as we’ve been known to call it (who’s got time for that extra syllable?), was excellent. It came in at about 8% ABV, which is 2-2.5% higher than it needs to be if we want to launch with this beer. Still, an excellent smoky-sweet-heavy brew. It’s nice to have something drinkable on tap after the trouble we’ve been having lately.
