New Year, New Toys

Despite our lack of beer to drink last night it was a good evening. MNB kicked off 2008 with the BCS National championship game and a session of brewing our Swashchuckler IPA. Jonathan and I hooked up a projector and speakers so everyone could watch big screen from the garage or driveway. Weather was awesome in ATL which was nice.

Since the game was pretty much a disappointment after the first quarter we were fortunate to have a new toy to keep us occupied. Jeff’s family created a Monday Night Brewery branded official cornhole setup. For those of you who don’t know about Cornhole it is supposedly a Midwestern thing. Basic gist is you throw bean bags (or cornbags) through a hole in a piece of wood. Very complex. For detailed rules you can visit the ACA (American Cornhole Association).

(Amazing attention to detail and use of the concentric circles…kudos to Jeff’s family)

We’re thinking about making some official weekly challenge and a reigning champ at MNB. Maybe MNB can someday sponsor the national championship or something.
