Our Harvest Ale

hpsTonight we tapped the Harvest Ale. No, none of us are farmers or know anything at all about farming…but everyone has to have a harvest ale these days (especially to celebrate the 90degree October days in Atlanta). Actually the true credit for this Harvest Ale goes to our new friend Troy. Troy showed up to MNB just over a month ago and makes his permanent home in Portland Oregon. He’s a true Portlander - rides his bike, cares about the environment, roasts his own coffee, brews his own beer AND grows his own hops. Troy showed up for his second time to MNB and not only brought us some stellar Oregon Micros but also a large bag of his very own hops…fresh off the vine!

Tonight we tasted the fruit of Troy’s hop vine…and it was good. Thanks for the hops and for bringing out the farmer in all of us.
