Last night: what went right and what went wrong

Last night marked our first night on Atlanta’s Westside. Jeff and Hannah have been kind enough to let us take over their house, and we have been kind enough to grace them with our presence.

First, the good: the vibe, overall, is awesome. We had a bunch of new people. The space at Jeff’s house is really conducive to hanging out with a brew (and a clove cigarette). We’re also expecting good things from the hefeweizen we brewed last night.

Next, the bad: it gets dark around 8:00. Jeff’s lights turn on… never. Because there aren’t any lights outside. We were using flashlights and cellphone screens to brew, just like our brethren of old. Also, and perhaps more importantly, there was no Bryan Adams. We need some speakers outside like a fat kid needs cake. We are going to try to rectify both of these issues in the next few weeks, so bear with us.

Overall, though, I’m very pleased with our first night.
