Selling beer on eBay: a $500,000 mistake

Many thanks to Kurt for tipping us off to this humorous blunder. Luxist (via A New Perception) has posted about a man who misspelled the name of a rare beer in his auction listing.

Because of the misspelling, interest was low, and the beer went for $304. The winning bidder promptly turned around and listed the item with the correct spelling… and sold the beer for $500,300. That’s enough to finance a brewery… Hmmm…
