Cow Tipper Cream Ale: the wait is over

cowtipper1.pngWe’ve finally reached some consensus on a name/label for our cream ale. A very special thanks goes out to Dave for developing the name and concept. The only negative feedback we’ve received thus far has been from Andy, who can’t get it out of his head that this is not what cows looked like when they’re tipped over. And so, I write Andy a rebuttal:

Dear Andy,

You’re way too literal, and that is why you have no friends. We’re trying to start a movement here. We think outside of the box, man. You’re still all up in the box – and at night you are apparently in Farmer Crackett’s pastures disturbing his heifers.

Your friend acquaintance, Jonathan

The Cow Tipper quote is from Claudette Colbert, esteemed Actress and French-American hearthrob: “It took me years to figure out that you don’t fall into a tub of butter, you jump for it.” That is soooo true.

  1. Andy Says:

    Dear Jonathan,

Your scathing rebuttal has cut me to the core. In an attempt to redress this offense which I have committed out of sheer obtuseness, and as a good faith gesture, I would like to officially extend the following offer:

I would like to subsidize the creation of 3 custom batches of stout, AND distribute said beer (at no cost) as favors at my wedding reception, providing you with unprecedented exposure and media attention in the history of Monday Night Brewery.

    What say you?

    A humbled MNB pledge,
    Andy

  2. Dave Says:

I’d like to thank the MNB academy for selecting my suggestion “Cowtipper Cream Ale.”

Quote Sally Field, “You like me. You really, really like me!” Sally, like me, loves the label!

FYI, my first batch, named Shafer Pale Ale, came out absolutely great! We drank it while starting our next batch, a honey brown ale (name yet TBD).

Question: What paper/labels do you buy for your bottles? What printing process do you use (laser, wax transfer, inkjet)?
